Engineering Summer Internship
The Muskegon County Road Commission is seeking summer interns to assist in Engineering operations and related responsibilities during the upcoming summer season, approximately May 8th through August 25th (start and end dates can be adjusted around school schedule).
Duties involve the assisting Engineering Technicians with:
Construction Observation
Surveying
Staking
Culvert Inspections
Traffic Counters
Pavement Marking Layouts
Project Administration
Qualifications:
Open to all undergraduate/graduate students currently enrolled in the engineering and technology fields.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Successful drug screen.
Employment guidelines:
Wages - New employees earn $18.00/hr. Returning employees have the opportunity to earn +$1 for the subsequent season, up to a maximum of $21.00/hr.
Dress code - Steel toed shoes are required; jeans (no shorts); T-shirts (Work appropriate, no sleeveless or cutoffs).
Cell Phones - Personal usage must be kept to breaks, lunch periods and emergency situations only.
Hours of work - 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Friday.
