Spring Reel Assembly Technician

Qualified individuals will possess the following skills:

• Have 2-5 years of experience with electrical or mechanical assembly experience
• Have experience operating cut-off saws, drill presses
• Soldering experience a plus
• Ability to read blueprints a plus
• Must be able to use measurement devices

SUMMARY

Assembles electrical and mechanical components according to the information provided to produce a quality spring reel product by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Mechanical assembly of various size structural and electrical components.
• Electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Operate necessary tools, as listed on the job description, to aid in the assembly of cable reels.
• Connects color-coded wires.
• Tests and adjusts electrical assemblies.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with a supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
• Manufacturing consultant to engineering and sales department concerning design problems.
•Field service and start-up duty opportunities.
•Responsible for checking the accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing offices' input to ensure customer final product is correct and within quality acceptance guidelines.
•Any changes or corrections must be communicated to appropriate departments so future product output is consistent with customer expectations.
•Through actions and decision-making, proactively supports, promotes, and improves the quality system and policy throughout the organization.
• Understands, supports, implements, and sustains 5S program initiatives.
• Supports and upholds the quality and EHS policy.
• Upholds Core Values.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write and/or verbally communicate correspondence.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be willing and able to successfully pass our in-house forklift & overhead crane certification program prior to operating these machines within our facility. Operating these machines is an essential function of this role. This certification program will assess proficiency in safe operation according to our company's standards and protocols. Training will be provided.
