Supply Chain System Engineer
American Hydrostatics Distribution, Inc. has an opening for the position of Supply Chain System Engineer (Ref# SCSE1021DS).
Work Location: 1885 Thunderbird, Troy, MI 48084.
Job Duties: Prepare, validate, and publish monthly KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) in iM3 Supply Chain Management suite, including cost saving reports with reference to commodities supplied to clients. Provide information, documentation, and training with launch of new supply chain initiatives to existing team members and customer sites for new launches when required. Ensure data integrity and consistency of all published supply chain metrics and work with functional process owners and customer stakeholders to ensure reliability of the metrics. Responsible for data analysis, working closely with data owners and analytics team and ensure timely availability of metrics. Responsible for Spares Warranty & Asset Tracking (SWAT) program which includes more visibility and accountability on where, how, and when spare parts are utilized and on the lifecycle of each component. Use the functionality of the software during all stages of the commodity life-cycle. Responsible for customer supplier interface, building relationships between customers and suppliers for better understanding of the projects. Assist logistics process for the development of repairs, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, and returns on products. Generate weekly reports and dashboards and customize summary reports for open orders. Optimize warehouse functions, including layout for repair inventory area as per customer requirements. Use APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) to ensure products meet their capabilities as per the customer requirements. Involved in the optimization process, suggesting client best route for repair management. Perform corrective actions, entering concerns into corrective action database - 5 whys, 8D, Kaizen, Fishbone, and I-chart. Perform predictive maintenance for products and critical assets. Involved in commodity management area layout using modelling software including MS Visio, Creo, and AutoCAD. Improve vital inventory control policies and procedures.
Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Plus 6 months of experience in the job offered or 6 months in a related occupation including Quality Engineer or related experience. Position requires 6 months of experience with APQP. Position requires completion of graduate-level academic coursework in Supply Chain and 6-Sigma. 40hrs/week.
